Owner and Operator Darren Kirby’s love for firearms began at age 12 through a local 4H program. A Kentucky native, Darren dreamed of making this passion his business. He began his journey by taking machining classes at the local community college. In 2018, Darren and his wife moved to Colorado where Darren continued his studies at The Colorado School of Trades, earning an Occupational Studies degree in Gunsmithing. Upon graduating in 2020, Darren and his wife returned home to Kentucky and opened Steady Fire. Darren’s goal is to provide professional quality gunsmithing for north central Kentucky and surrounding areas.
